Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 24, 1982. Known as the original “American Idol”, Kelly Clarkson was the show’s first multi-platinum singer/songwriter. Her first hit, “Miss Independent”, was released in 2003 and was an international success that gained her lots of attention. In the past 9 years, Kelly has had 9 singles go platinum. Her album Breakaway even went platinum 5 times. She has also been nominated and won many different musical awards like the Grammy’s “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” and “Best Pop Vocal Album”. Kelly is currently working on many different projects both in and out of the studio.
