Biography
Amy Lee Grant was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 25, 1960. However, she moved with her family to Nashville, Tennessee while she was still an infant. This sparked her rise to fame because Grant was able to be around a lot of studios and music mixing. Amy was signed when she was just 15 years old.
Her self-titled 1977 debut album introduced a fresh-faced young woman with a new voice. In 1982, Amy Grant was the first Contemporary Christian artist to reach platinum status with the release of her “Age to Age” album. She has won many awards including Grammies, Dove awards, and even her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
