Hanson is a pop rock band composed of three brothers. Isaac (November 17, 1980), Taylor (March 14, 1983), and Zac (October 22, 1985) started their band in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1992. All three of the brothers started their musical careers as pianists but eventually picked up different instruments in order to form their band.

Known best for their hit “MMMBo” which earned the band three Grammy nominations, the band soon became one of the hottest new bands with eight Top 40 singles in the UK and six Top 40 singles in the US. Their first album, “Middle of Nowhere” was released on May 6, 1997 and sold 10 million copies worldwide.

Tulsa’s governor at the time, Frank Keating, named May 6 as “Hanson Day” which is still recognized by their fans all over the world. Soon after a struggle with several recording companies, Hanson started their own record label, 3CG Records, which is still in business to this day.

In 2009, Hanson joined TOMS Shoes for “The Walk Tour” where they asked fans to join them on a 1 mile barefoot walk before each concert in order to bring awareness to the conditions of poverty stricken children in Africa.
