Biography
Justin Drew Bieber is a Pop/R&B singer and songwriter born on March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario. Raised in a single parent home, his mom worked numerous jobs to support Justin. After performing at a local singing competition and coming in second, his mom posted the video on YouTube so family friends could see. Little did she know that Scooter Braun, a new artist scout, would accidently click on her son’s video and Justin’s career would begin. Justin and his mom temporarily moved to Atlanta to work with Usher to record Justin’s first single, “One Time.”
What happened after this could seem as a blur. Justin has received numerous awards, performed for the President and First Lady, been named the third most powerful celebrity by Forbes, his music documentary “Never Say Never” grossed at over 98 million worldwide, and the list goes on. A Twitter employee commented that there are “racks of servers dedicated” to Bieber. He has over 20 million followers on Twitter and his fans have named themselves “Beliebers.” There is no doubt that Justin Bieber has proved himself a very successful young artist and has many more years to build on his career.
